TLC Memories: Bath time on the Erasmus

Throughout our 25 years on London's majestic river, we've always believed the heart and spirit of an event comes to life when charterers put their unique stamp on proceedings. This ensures each and every occasion we host is truly special to guests from the moment they step aboard.
It's why every client is assigned a dedicated Event Coordinator from the moment they enquire, who helps create and tailor events to bespoke requirements. Furthermore, an experienced Function Manager is present throughout on the day to ensure flawless delivery of every detail.
To help give you a greater idea of the experience you can enjoy with Thames Luxury Charters, we are delighted to share with you some of our special event memories. Here, we see what unfolded when Erasmus was transformed into a floating party bathroom in early 2018.

What did they experience on board?
Guests boarded the Erasmus at Butler's Wharf Pier and were greeted with a Canard-Duchêne champagne reception, a perfect way to begin an evening toasting their company's anniversary.
As the vessel departed and began travelling the Thames, passing some of London's most iconic illuminated sights on the way, canapés and our ever-popular Street Food Markets were served. Sweet treats came in the form of a unique edible bathroom dessert bar, a bespoke creation specifically for this event. In addition, a dedicated gin bar serving Hendricks, Sipsmith and Portobello Road with a selection of tonics provided guests with refreshing drinks options.
The bathroom theme was extended throughout the vessel: soap dishes were filled with madeleines; toothpaste tubes were filled with bubblegum gel and white chocolate ganache ready to be squeezed onto financier cakes; bathtubs filled with marshmallows sat alongside mango and raspberry sponges; and white chocolate truffles and mini cupcakes masqueraded as bath bombs. This was just the kind of creative challenge our chefs love!
Entertainment for those on board came in the form of a DJ and roaming magician, who performed throughout the evening. The celebrations flew by and it was eventually time to step out of the Erasmus "bathroom", with guests disembarking at midnight underneath the London Eye, a fitting show-stopping sight in itself.
