Stunning new-look Elizabethan arrives home at Butler’s Wharf Pier

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the fully refreshed Elizabethan is back home in the heart of London!

Almost six months since she left Butler’s Wharf Pier to head into dry dock, the new-look vessel’s return marks the completion of her extensive refurbishment. With a fully revamped upper deck, Elizabethan has a striking new appearance whilst maintaining her famed Mississippi paddle steamer style.

Most notably in the images below is the completely new raised wheelhouse, boasting 360 degree vision and various bespoke safety and security features. Also visible are the upper deck's new large panoramic double glazed windows, which fill the vessel with light and provide spectacular views of the city. These are paired with matching hardwood sliding doors to improve flow and accessibility to the outer deck, and are featured on both sides of the vessel.

Furthermore a change in the exterior colour scheme sees the introduction of a welcoming, stylish burgundy complemented by additional external lighting. All woodwork has received at least 10 coats of yacht varnish for a mirror-like finish on the deep red hardwood.

What else has changed aboard Elizabethan?

There are several other extensive additions to improve guests’ comfort and experience on board. Air conditioning has been installed on the lower deck, whilst banquet seating on the upper deck has also been replaced by sumptuous booths designed to make the space more intimate and luxurious. They perfectly match the exclusively designed Axminster carpet that has been laid throughout.

How can I view the vessel?

Can the vessel now be used for gatherings?

Yes! In accordance with current government guidelines, we are now able to welcome up to 30 guests aboard Elizabethan for gatherings and celebrations, subject to relevant social distancing requirements.
